Who the *moooo!* is Jimi Hendrix?...

...is what was asked to me when I was working. I stuck Voodoo Chile on the system, and the 1st thing the "resident" dj said was what the fishizzle is this *meow*. this guy Quote:"Needs to learn how to play guitar"

    lol

Not band for a dance/rnb/pop/rap dj.

Is there any hope for these ppl.

With things like that LMC vs U2 thing selling... not a chance in hell, tbh!

Every time I walk past a certain house on a corner, that song is ALWAYS playing rather loud. Not only that, there is, more often than not, an awful, obviously drenched in kappa/argos gold, female voice accompanying it.

"Da's a boy oo ah kner - he's ve one ah'm dreami...CHERISE! PUT DER ****INK SPANNA DAOOWN IT'S NORRA ****INK RATTLE FER ****S ****INK SAKEZ"

    I'm not being over-enthusiastic, either.

It’s a fact that some people will never appreciate great music. I must admit when I was 12 years old I hated every genre of rock. But with time, I matured, and then realised how great rock really is.

It bloody annoys me! All these wannabe teen lad gangters listening to 2pac n dmx n all the rest of it coming out with "rock is ****" and so forth, and what RIGHT with all their musical knowledge, experience and respect do they have to tell us that rock/jazz/blues/pre-20th century (romantic/classical/baroque)
    is rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishe!??

Alot of lads just listen to it because it makes them fit in and feel macho. "Rap is the "cool" music to listen to. Oh but wait they turn around and say dont u listen to the lyrics?? to which I say sod off "lyrics". Most of the time they are moaning about how their lives are much worse then everybody elses driving around in their bentleys.

Yes. Music Companys may have most of the world fooled, but not me. We need to re-vamp the REAL music scene.

Enough ranting. I should go on Ohhh-prah.

I couldnt agree more with you there. However, I like all genres of music, and a few hip hop artists actually have some pretty good songs with some deep lyrics, but most rappers are just pure sh**. They just make music for the money.

/me is bemused. I mean, I love Hendrix but he died thirty odd years ago, I wouldn't expect yer average 18 year old to have heard of him, tbh. Memories, hehe, Voodoo Chile whilst, erm, 'influenced' is sublime. Rainbow Bridge soundtrack still gets me kinda over-emotional
