This has score to be an absolutely amasing film, i read a script about 5 years ago of an AvP idea, the script was good but seems not to be the one that this films based on, hopefully it wont be a let down as both the Alien and Predator films are good in there own right...

Seen the new trailer a couple of days ago. I just hope the rest of the film is as good if not better than that trailer. Would be a shame if it wasnt. Alien and Pred eyeing each other out looked great.

What time period is this set in? Pred is present day and aliens is in the future but in pred 2 the predator has a alien head in his ship.

This month's empire says it's going to be PG-13 in the states, so probably a 12, max a 15 here. I had high hopes for it, but not if it's going to be dumbed down nonsense.

Personnaly i wouldnt take much notice of that since the film has not been finalized yet and theres probably still a couple of months left for shooting it. U cant have alien with out gore and u cant have predator with out gore. it removes their entertainment if you do

From the comics, the Preds deliberately hunt down Alien planets and use them as prey to gain their trophies. Its set sometime in the future, where humans travel to this planet and start to colonize it, but little did they know that Aliens reside on this planet, and its also designated as hunting ground for the Preds. During one expedition, a Pred gets captured by the humans, and during captivation, the Aliens start to attack. An uneasy alliance between the humans and Preds are formed to eradicate the Aliens.

...thats how the comics went about it, and I'd think the film would be on a similar line. I mean, can you imagine a film completely without words?!? Just Aliens hissing and Preds growling?!? How interesting (not!) would that be. They'll need to incorporate humans in there somewhere, and the above comic storyline seems the best.

From what I heard of it a few years back it was going to be loosley based around the comic series Earth War. Just a shame that the guy who directed Res Evil is behind it. Think they should have used James Cameron (Aliens) for it instead as the action / fight scenes on Aliens were so tense and well directed this movie is going to need someone of his calibur to pull it off.
