    Manufacturers have spent large amounts of time and money exactly trying to minimise the amount of IR and UV that gets to our sensors.. and now we'll have to open them up again?

    Nice! I hope this makes it through into a product in the not too distant future!
    ...one more reason for two bodies, one with and one without IR filter! :-)
