    Need Headphones WITH a Mic.....pls:)

Need NICE ones....I have Senns but Rias nicked them for gaming

So more Senns OR whatever else.....

What shouldI get and WHERE FROM ?

Must be big, comfortable, totally cover my lug'oles, volume control not essential as my keyboard has one.

Velvety ear pads, no sweaty plastic....

    Long good quality cables....

    Cable from one side....

    Not infrared...must be cable...

    I've seen Senn PC150's on a site.....but anyother ideas

Have Creative jobbs at mo....ok I guess....but then for 5 minutes last night I used my HD570's after I got them off her head...and OH MY GOD I'd forgotten just how GOOD they are.

    Any ideas guys......

You won't find anything better than a pair of Sennheisers for sensible money.

Why not buy a decent pair of sens, then get something like a desk stand and a Shure budget mic

Gaffer tape the desk mic to the side of your Senns?

Bit-tech did a couple of reviews on USB Headphone/Mic combies.. might be worth a look, but I'd highly doubt they'd even beat a pair of budget senns, to be honest:

... oh wait.. there's a pair of Sennheiser USB mic/headphone doodahs:

    http://www.bit-tech.net/review/294/

Little bit pricey, though.. so a normal 3.5mm jack set might be a little more ideal. Bit-Tech also reviewed a cheapish pair of logitechs:

    -edit
Neither of them look particularly WW2, though

I dont grasp why Id want USB headphone tho...I have a £90 sound card....and so do most punters.

So why have USB headphones ? and HOW the hell do they decode a USB signal? and WHY would ya want too...?

Anyway....while they dont need to LOOK WW2 hew: they DO need to be mic and can jobs...I ...err....move about when I fly......my head leans and sad stuff like that...so leaning forward to a mic on a bench has never worked.

So its gonna be Senns then..was hoping for a bit of competition...summit else by someone else....to bring it all together before the dough leaves my wallet

Zak, ask macro if he remembers who made these thing :-

    (scroll down a bit)

if you really want flight sim authenticity, you could try and track down a real pilots headset, some might have the appropriate connections, but for those that don't i think adapters are available, check this one out :-

if you want quality get a nice pair of senns or grados (my money is on grados -for >£75 they kick senns all over the place) and get a desk mic, or botch the mic off an old headset and attatch it to the headphones

i personally use one of these :- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...category=11682

band goes round your neck with a little boom to position the mic so you can still use your regular headphones, i don't have anything else to compare it with, but it works ok for me, it doesn't follow your head movements as accurately as a headset does but i've found it good enough.
