I was not aware that you could do so jiggery-pokery with a freeview box.
Come on then, tell the man how it's done
Living and dying laughing and crying
Once you have seen it you will never be the same
Life in the fast lane is just how it seems
Hard and it is heavy dirty and mean
You can't.

Are they any good? Been thinking of buying one, but the TV in my flat only has an interior aerial, so I'm afraid it might not get enough signal.
You need a decent signal I'm affraid.
My signal strength is about 65% and it breaks up every half hour or so, for a few seconds. Annoying, but I'm used to it.

I bought a Philips 32" Digital TV, we get the normal crappy free channels. I've been looking into satellite card programming, with that Elvis Card Programmer. My m8s friend can program Sky Digital Cards and other digital receiver cards. He charges £100 for a Sky Digital Card with all channels. I’ve asked him to teach me, but I don’t think he wants to, guess I will be giving my local officer a call then
bit unrelated, but anychance of shortening your sig abit proplus?
i have no need for a free view box, we get most of the channels on it free with our Cable anyway.

The package is £8.99 per month (not exactly expensive) and if you really want the channels then just pay the bl**dy fee! Definitely not worth bothering to hack no matter what way you look at it.
In general, of the Freeview channels the BBC ones are good, the two music channels are nice to have and ITV2 and Sky Sports News are good for the footy. Apart from that the shopping channels are a complete waste of bandwidth!
Incidently - TUTV is currently only available to owners of the old OnDigital/ITV digital boxes.

Well I was kidding really, anyway - it seems quite good, plenty of re-runs and repeats, plus lots of comedy too.
Thaty UKHistory channel ain't bad either
Aye UK History is good. Bid-up.tv is hilarious, especially when they desperately try to sell some old tat for £50
Freeview is awful IMHO
Care to back up your opinions with some reasoning Atcapollo?

oh come on! Freeview is just that, free. As has been said BBC 3 and 4 are not bad and ITV2 has alternate Champions league matches if you like footie.
You can pick up a Freeview box for 30 - 40 quid now which aint bad at all. If you had to subscribe to the channels then i would have to agree with Atcapollo but as it is you don't so it's really not that bad.
