    Digital media players

I'm looking at the Asus O!Play HDP-R1, Western Digital WDAVN00 and Xtreamer digital media players. I don't want to spend £200+ on a Popcorn. Internal storage isn't necessary but I would prefer an ethernet connection as well as USB.

Does anyone have any recommendations in the £70 - £100 price range? I like the look of the Asus.

    Thanks.

    Re: Digital media players

Actually quite a few to choose from now but I'm looking at this:

    http://www.iboum.com/pr/WDTV2-LIVE.php

Don't confuse it with the earlier WDTV.

    Cool Re: Digital media players

I have been using my Xbox 360 for a good while and it has been fine but the humming noise off the fan seems to be getting louder and louder so I am seriously considering one of these media players to take its place. I don't really want to pay anymore than £120 at the very most. I must admit though after reading a number of different opinions the WDTV Live seems to be the best in the price range and any problems should be sorted with updates as WD apparently update these quite a lot.

Just noticed that Scan are doing these in their today only section for £96.59 which looks like the cheapest around plus free delivery with the scan2hexus carriage offer, I'm really tempted.

    Smile Re: Digital media players

I ordered a WDTV Live today from Scan, it should arrive tomorrow so I'll give my judgment on it once I've set it up but it does sound good from what I've read.

I have just noticed that Scan have put the price down further £91.99 in the supersavers offer which is great but I bought it about an hour ago for £96.56. I am beginning to feel I am jinxed.
