    Replacement for Olympus mju µ410

    Simplicity is the key requirement.

The reason I bought the µ410 originally was its simple controls with no multi layer menus to got lost in. Can take a picture straight away or access and cycle through the pre-set modes with a dedicate button. Also a dedicated button for turning flash off and back on.

Disadvantages I experienced with the µ410 was taking photos for ebay:
    • No image stabilisation so got blurred text due to hand shake, or movement when pressing button.
    • Poor focusing when taking close up shot of uneven item surface, like circuit boards with capacitors.
    • Can’t source replacement memory card. Won’t take type M or H.

Don't really want to spend too much, as the way camera technology progresses it won't last forever. The µ410 cost £170 and I don't want to spend that much again. Probably looking at under £100 although a highly portable unit might sway me.

I'm also considering getting the camera from America if the prices are much better, although I'd like some clarification on battery charging when back in the UK. As don’t want to buy a step down transformer to charge the battery (if needed).
