Shaun of the dead... MIGHT have spoilers.

MIGHT.. because I don't know what other people are going to write !

I saw this yesterday, and I thought it was great. Its a total tour-de-force of current british comedy talent. Stealing the cast from spaced - 'cause pegg wrote it and Nick Frost, Jessica Stevenson are in it - and there's a cameo from "tyres". Also the spaced directing and producing talent. How can you go wrong ? It also has cameos from Black Books Tamsin Greig and others... People from the office etc.

Think the point is that this film has all of this generations top comedy talent- noticably mainly channel 4 stars rather than bbc/itv. Is this just a reflection that the Beeb hasn't made a decent sitcom in AGES. "My Family", "the royal family" , "Only fools..." all lick baws (only fools got REALLY crap in my opinion). and The office is just a one off slice of greatness that has taken years to come by.

Black Books is currently the best thing on T.v.

    What are your opinions ?

    *EDITS*
And WTF was the vicar of dibly doing getting 3rd best British sitcom EVER ?

Will a lady friend of mine enjoy it? I'm organising a night out on Friday.

edit: and I doubt she'd be impressed by my gauping at Elisha Cuthbert for a couple of hours (shame.)

Yeah... I think a woman would appreciate it ! There is a little moment where she will either vomit... or grab your hand in disgust. Either way you will have something interesting to post..

From what I heard though.. I think starsky et al will be a best bet for all people. It seems to be THE film to go see with a lady friend ! Three of my mates saw it - at different times - and they now all have fledgling relationships. This film has something about it....

Well she might have seen S&H, I'll check - there's not just me and her going anyway, so it's not entirely down to me.

Ok, went and saw it tonight, was going to see it yesterday with a mate (as we're both big spaced/black books/office fans) but my mate bailed to get drunk instead (fair enough) so waited until tonight. Truely awesome, i've been waiting for this for a while and it definitely didnt disappoint, total film were right when they said "best use of a queen song ever", it's was a little weird that we found some things funny that a lot of other people didn't notice (i.e tyre's cameo), but ah well, who cares?

There was only one thing it had missing if you ask me...........BILL BAILEY!!!

Yeah... the tyres thing had me gawping ! Its quite a prime spot actually.
I thought about bill bailey... but when the two groups - headed by pegg and stevenson - met up. Bilbo would have had to be on both sides to get the full on effect. He's not fat enough to square up to nick frost.. So matt lucas got the job.

tyres was one of the zombies outside the pub, i just thought it would have been hilarious to have him outside doing big fish, little fish, during the "don't stop me now" scene
