Quite cool, I'd like to see some worst case results as well as best case though!
Regarding the panorama, can photo-shop auto transform shots to correct for perspective to end up like his starting shot, or do you have to do that yourself manually?
Holy crap! That's good.
Is that just gonna be an update for CS4?
quite a few errors that would have been quicker using other methods, but its pretty nice all the same
all pano shots done in Photoshop need to be cropped, or have extra work done as not to crop
CS5 released in 18 days time

Those shots aren't just cropped though, they're distorted to counter perspective. Doing that by hand is quite a pain and it's easier to just leave in the perspective, but if the program could automatically correct and stitch to end up with the example he starts with it'd be nice.
Stunning, but isn't it worrying from a photographer's point of view? How will I know from looking at an image whether it's half-fake or not?
brilliant
Looks very cool indeed.
I wonder how good it would look at a higher resolution?

Indeed, I was just about to say, as opposed to all the 'straight-out-of-camera' shots you see every day at the moment?
Re-touching photos has been around since, well, pretty much as long as photos themselves. The fact that the program is now getting as 'skilled' as the human at retouching doesn't make it any more or less prolific in the grand scheme of things.
I wonder if it will work that well every time? It is amazing though. Almost worth getting CS5 for.
Not around too often!
its far from perfect, i'm sure in the larger scheme of things it will save some time though
