    Which headphones?

I've narrowed it down to two which Im interested in, though open to other ideas. Anywho, has anyone had any experience with either of these sets of headphones?

    Grado SR60 http://www.digitaldirectuk.com/produ...roduct_id=4442

    Grado SR80 http://www.digitaldirectuk.com/produ...roduct_id=4441

Is it worth spending the extra £16 to get the SR80s over the 60s? Or does anyone have any other suggestions that I should be considering for around the £50-£80ish market? No more expensive than the SR80s though!

Have you ever used a pair of these?

They go for up to £140 in some stores - this place is £99 + free delivery. This is a bit more that you wanted to spend, but all the parts are replaceable and the sound quality is amazing (they are damn comfy too).
They are the best headphones I've ever owned.

lol - its allways funny seeing people specify no more than £80, then the first post straight off at £100

...but - I thought it'd be in his interest to have a look at them. For the extra cash they're worth it, and all the parts are replaceable - making them an excellent investment.
£20 over budget for headphones normally retailing ~£140's a steal.

I also used to have a pair of the HD25-SP's before I got a pair of HD25, also very good headphones, a little less range and not as good a harness.....

for £79.99 incl free delivery, that'll be a penny short of the £80

I have a pair of SR-80's and say they are fantastic cans and worth the money, however I haven't listened to a pair of 60's so I couldnt say if they are worth the difference. I find the SR-80's to be very comfy and believe one of the differences to be the cusions so they may be worth it for that?

    Hope that helped

Can I recommend the Koss PRO-4AA's. They are about £85.00, have fantastic quality sound but do not look as nice. They are available form any good audiovisual site

Went for the SR-80s in the end - moderately impressed so far, but I am hoping they do get better after this 'wearing in' period that I've heard all about.
