You don\'t happen to have a Nvidia by any chance?
No mate. Have an amd 6950
Tried disabling any CEC features on your TV?
What is this and how do you do it?
HDMI-CEC is the same as Anynet+. You should be able to turn it off in your telly\'s menu somewhere.
I have the exact same problem. Mac mini connected to the yamaha and output on the telly. It pretty ridiculous, it used to work just fine and then suddenly BAM! No longer can i switch off the tv. Its been upsetting me for a while, I think it was a software update that yamaha threw in...
I have the RX-V671 and can switch the amp off and still get audio/video to the TV as well as switch the TV off and still get audio. Everything is connected via HDMI
Go to the following menu's and enable, I have firmware 1.47
1. OSD->SETUP->HDMI->Audio Output->Enable both amp and TV. This is if you still want audio and video on the TV
2. OSD->SETUP->HDMI->Standby Passthrough. Enable this if you want audio when the TV is off
Try it, it worked for me although the menu options are a bit odd.
