    OGG Format

Not sure if I posted in the right place, hope so anyway.
Was wondering if anyone could recommend some kinda of music player or plug in for Windows Media Player or iTunes that will play music that is in the .ogg format.
    Cheers

Well, never played a track of that format, but Winamp's "File/Play file" option has .OGG as one of the support file formats, so I guess that works

I had a read of this page and then followed a link to the Vorbis site, then onto the Windows platform link and found a page of players supporting the OGG format.

    Ogg Vorbis DirectShow Filters
    2001-06-30 23:29:04.00

These filters/plugins will allow you to play Ogg Vorbis files in Windows Media Player, as well as use Vorbis in many other DirectX applications. [This project is no longer being maintained. Please look at OggDS for a maintained project.]

you need an ogg directshow filter, for windows apps, or an ogg quicktime filter, for itunes

bear in mind the ogg quicktime filter is pretty bad, and will break horribly

Elaborating on directhex's post you can get the vorbis dshow filter from the downloads section of doom9.org.

Foobar2k is my audioplayer of choice in windows though.
