    so there good?

    - also, a lot say they play MP3s - is that just from CDs, or can i burn A whole DVD of MP3s - how easy to navigate your mp3s on these players is it?

Great player is the basic Pacific model from Asda at about £35-£40. Plays anything you can throw at it and a good alround machine for the money. Got one in the lounge and gonna get another for the bedroom!

Moreso than my parents el-cheapo-bottom of the range Ronin which has scart and that's it Its a tad noisy but just turn the sound up on your tele.
Region-freeing is done via firmware update. Plays absolutely every disk ive chucked at it - DVD, DVD-/+R, DVD-RW, CDRW, CDR, VCD, SVCD, mp3, audio CDs.

cool, and it has easy navigation of the MP3s (ie, you can fine that track, even on a DVD of 900)

    - i'll have to have a good look at that

Just a thought, I've got the arianet 2777 (i think), was about £37 and is very good. Selectable pal/ntsc output, ac3/dts decoding and you can stick a disc in with pictures mpegs mp3s etc and it will show up an explorer type interface and you can look/listen to them all.

Never had any problems with it yet.

ha well, ordered the RONIN P215F fro Blankdisc (SVP) last night, partly because as well as people here say the ronin ones are good, its only fairly small/short, where as most dvd players are fairly long and thin,
