One of the 2 films i watched yesterday(there'll be a thread about the other one in a sec)
Very good movie, set in germany before the fall of the berlin wall in a us army base, shows just what goes on when soldiers get bored
good script backed up by a very good slightly under-rated cast of Joaquin Phoenix, Anna paquin and ed harris among others.
Not gonna give awa too much about the story but its a blinding film imo, highly recomended.
Agreed, incredibly funny in parts, the scene with the tank is absolute genius.
Was originally delayed after September 11th because it paints US troops in a less than flattering light.

Very cool film, IMO. Good soundtrack too, provided by David Holmes.

It's got its funny moments, a good film, but not one for rewatching for me
i nearly bought this yesterday, and after reading this i'm definately gonna get it. the box said summat bout tanks and driving them whilst not too sober which has gotto be investigated metinks lol peace

IMHO it was like a darker version of M*A*S*H, still good
Saw the end at my old mans house...got it here but haven't got around to watching it yet. Sounds like i must!.
