Your graphics card has sound outputs? Are you sure? Also, if it only has one red and one white, you ain't gonna be able to get sorround sound out of them, only stereo. What sort of digital output are we talking about? None of the systems you've specced had a decoder, so digital sound out wouldn't work for sorround sound either, unless you get something with a decoder in it.
EDIT: If you're interested, I may have a pair of these for sale:

Which retailed for £140, and I may sell them for £80ish, not sure yet, as I need to check if they are still working when I replace the fuse in there.

What sound card is that you've got there? It may be worth getting a 5.1 card for about £30 which will do the decoding, and then get a set of 5.1 speakers for about £50ish, assuming this is for your PC...
Something like this maybe:
http://www.microdirect.co.uk/Product...40&GroupID=283
http://www.microdirect.co.uk/Product...89&GroupID=284
Just as an alternate idea!
"It only does 5.1 if you a) have an optical IN port on your speakers, and b) your speakers do dolby 5.1 decoding. If you do NOT have optical IN on your card, this device is only good for 2.1."
iv got a shuttle so the extrenal-ness of the soundcard is v.usefull.
its a creative soundblaster mp3+, i could probably go internal now. depends if its worth it over just getting speakers with an optical in/decoder
