The Prodigy - Allways Outnumbered, Never Outgunned

Has anyone else got this?
I'm listening to it now and I have to admit its rather damn good.

It's that nice blend of typical Prodigy big beats and guitar rips that make a nice change from all the stuff thats around but different enough from the last album to make it worth a listen. But it is more punk than funk this time so I'm not sure whether it will be to everyones liking though.

much prefer the old stuff and this just isn't as good as I'd hoped, shame really tbh as I used to really enjoy they're stuff

I'll agree with Knox there, their older stuff has churned out a few "classics", none of the tracks on this album jump out as candidates to reach that kind of status.

But we've moved on 5 years now I suppose. Still, I'll give it a few more listens.

I like the album. I think it's quite strong, but they are never going to beat Fat of the Land for songs.

I think I 'really' like about 3 of the tracks, but the others are 'mediocre'. But you never know, music style may change and these songs could shape the future style(s) of music.

No.2 Girls - Sounds like something out of Buck Rodgers.
No.11 The Way it is - Sound like Wacko 'Would you like to see some Puppies' Jacksons' Thriller.

Apart from that I'm generally happy

I really like it and I'm glad that it isn't Fat of the Land Mk. II.

At first I wasn't too sure, but I like it more with every listen. It certainly helps if you play it through a decent pair of (floor-standing) speakers though - there's quite a lot going on at the lower frequencies.

It's a sample from Thriller, from the middle eight, if you listen carefully it's two bars looped and on the second bar you can hear the werewolf howl over it....

Hotride - didn't realise it was Juliette Lewis - like this one too, nice and heavy
Get Up Get Off - sooo Prodigy !

All in all I think it's a very good album - and it's getting a generally good reception in most camps - but surprisingly well in the Dance camp, surprising when you consider how heavy some of it is It's not got the "song" style of Fat Of The Land, but equally I can see where Liam's coming from with going "Back to the beats" like Experience and Jlited... FOTL was good but could see them drifting a bit too charty if they carried on that route !

Ive not heard the album for a while (should dig it out) but I really liked it - I like you will be under my wheels, and the last track Like most bands, they have evolved and there style has developed (and technology has moved on since when they did FOTL).

I have to admit the more I listen to it the more I seem to be liking it, even the few tracks I didnt like to begin with are growing on me.

i thought it was pretty average, if you seach around you should already be able to find a bootleg remix of this album, not bad

I like it, but I am a Prodigy nut. It certainly seems to have an aviation theme from the titles. I think 'Girls' is quite a grower. Still, I think 'Music For The Jilted Generation' is their best album. Can't beat 'Poison' and 'No Good' .

It's not as good as their previous stuff but I like it. It's a lot more diverse... Lots of different themes going on!

And it's excellent for pushing a hifi/sound system to it's limits I had to lower the volume of my sub a fair bit so it didn't sound overblown! The bass really does kick as much as Fat Of The Land
