Hi all
Bought my dad for Christmas an LG N4530a Sound Bar to go with his 8.5 year old Panasonic TH-42PV500B TV. I'm trying to work out the best method to wire it all up but my options are limited as the telly is pretty old. Here are the ports it has:
- 1x HDMI
- 3x SCART
- 1x Component
- 1x RCA stereo IN
- 1x RCA stereo OUT
The preferred way would be ARC HDMI but unfortunately the TV doesn't support that. The sound bar has a 3.5mm jack input for MP3 players and stuff, so I could do from the TV RCA out to 3.5mm IN on the sound bar but this doesn't seem like the ultimate 'sound experience'. The sound bar does however have an optical input, so could I get away with RCA from the TV, through a converter, then into the optical IN of the sound bar?
Thanks all
