Looking for some decent wireless PC headphones

As the title says really, I'm looking for a good pair of wireless headphones mainly for listening to music on my computer for around £40-£50, I'm not really fussed if it's a gaming headset, or just headphones without a mic, as I say, they're mainly for music anyway. Any recommendations would be really appreciated.

That's a low budget for something that isn't standard on headphones. You can find headphones in that price range that'll do a good job, but they'll be wired. You'll be hard pushed to find anything that performs okay with a budget like that. Wired would be the better option

My previous experience with wireless headphones has always been disappointing. Audio quality has is noticeably worse than even cheap headphones and I have invariably gone back to el-cheappo HMV ones.
Might not be the case at the higher end but depending on your expectations, I think you will be disappointed at the £40-50 range.

Ah ok, thanks. I've been using a set of fairly cheap wired ones for a while now (Speedlink Medusa NX iirc) and they've been ok. What sort of price would I be looking at for a decent pair of wireless at the cheaper end, and could you recommend any?

The Sony PS3/4 Wireless headphones are defo some of the better ones. You can pick them up cheap sometimes, otherwise they can cost a few quid.

They do come with their own custom dongle though that you have to use. You can't pair them with other Bluetooth devices. It's how it gets the quality better than other, normal BT based ones.

Thanks for the recommendation, is it any Sony PS3/4 ones or a specific model? I'm looking at 3 different ones that could fit the description on amazon at the moment; Sony Wireless Stereo Headset (PS3), Sony Playstation 3 Pulse Wireless Headset (PS3), and Sony Official Gold Wireless Headset - PS4.

They all use the same concept of a custom dongle. I've got the Sony Wireless Stereo Headset (not pulse IIRC) and the quality is pretty impressive. Way better than any of the other wireless ones I've had.

Microphone is okay, but it's not as good as a physically wired one.

While the idea of picking up some not just for music on PC, but that'll also work for gaming on PS3 and 4 appeals because I own both, with a price of around £100 are there any others around that much I should look at?

Re: Looking for some decent wireless PC headphones

Another heads up for the Sony Stereo Wireless headset - I use this for PS3 and on the PC and it is great quality with good battery life.

Had this for around 2 years and no problems at all.

I just wish it was bluetooth so I could use with my phone...

If you want ones that work with ps4 as well, probably not. Sony have been in the headphone game for a while, so they should know what they're doing when it comes to audio.

Re: Looking for some decent wireless PC headphones

At the moment I'm looking at going with the Sony Playstation 3 Pulse Wireless Headset then, there's not much difference in price and the bass feature sounds interesting. Does anyone have experience with it? They sound a bit frail from some of the amazon reviews is my only concern with them.
