Need a New headphone

So far i've been looking around for some new headphones. Coming from a plantronic 780 i think it's time i move on to more audiophile grade stuff.

Soundmagic HP 100
Philips Fidelio X1

I managed to narrow it down to these 2 which are quite similar in price wise for now.

I will also be pairing these up with the creative soundblaster Z. So before i buy does anyone have experience with these 2?

Budget ? What will you be listening to ? What amp etc ?

Neither of the above would be on my shortlist. Look at Sennheiser, Grado, AKG.

Below £160 on Headphones. I probably be using the Sound blaster z built in amps for music and gaming.

I did look at the Sennheiser 598, 558 and the AKG 550, with the Akg 550 £109.93 on amazon right now.

Music you could say i listen to pop and some rock music.

Then definitely try the Sennheisers. Dont forget that cans are the MOST personal of HiFi bits, and as such you MUST audition before buying. Essential !

Like to chuck in the Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro's and Sony MDR-1R as being options in that price range too.
Like g8ina said try them out if you can or buy from a place that has a good return policy.
John Lewis normally has a half decent selection of the nice Sony, Sennheiser ones.
