Headphones - For gaming and travel use

    Hello all,

I really would like to get a gaming headset - but after a bit of research I found that it would be better to get a headset and then add a modmic to it; that way I have better quality audio for around the same price.

My original plan was to get a Sennheiser RS 170 and attach a modmic to that.

The only downside to that for me, is that it is not really travel compatible, unless I want to take the dock station with me everywhere.

I need a pair of headphones that are wireless, but I can also plug in to use with an iPod or a phone if I'm travelling. But again, the audio quality has to be very good for both gaming and music. Any suggestions?

Budget is not an issue right now.

    Thanks,
    RT

Currently looking at the MM 550-X.

Does anyone know if that pair is also good for gaming?

If you can afford it, go with Beyerdynamic. Great German engineering. I recommend a pair of DT770, really comfortable and great sound.
