Voice / Speech amplifier coverter ?

Been looking for a way I can attempt to be heard while taking the stress of my vocal chords .
Any features to programme or alter effects would be a plus and perhaps amusing ..

So far most of things Ive seen look simple like microphone headsets attached to tacky speakers - id like something bit better instead more legit .

    any suggestions ?

Are you getting speech therapy melon ? If so your speech therapist should be able to arrange for you to try one to see if it does the trick. And don't forget, you would possibly be zero VATted on this due to the nature of it (being used for disability etc).

If you are electronics minded, you might even make your own, all you need is a 200Hz sawtooth oscillator and a small amp and mini speaker or even a high output crystal earpiece, then hook up an acoustic tube to the speaker and stick the other end in your mouth, so that the oscillator provides the basic sound and your mouth provides the waveform shaping.

Musicians have been using this for ages to make wow wow sounds.

My own voice is almost all but gone now although I have / do use this its not really ideal as my ability to resonant vowels is nada .

Id really like to try this with a more insidious voice
