    Recommend Bluetooth/CD/USB hi fi

I am looking for a hi fi or two to use in the kitchen and bedroom. I'd like it to have reasonable sound quality (have a 4w Philips micro hi fi at the moment in the kitchen). I've been trying to find a way to upgrade my old Sony hi fi (it's in the bedroom and has a broken cd changer, minidisc, tape, aux in) as the sound from the speakers is decent due to size of them and while I can find various bluetooth adapters they all need recharging and seem like a faff, nor do they have usb sockets.

Anyway, the two things I found so far are here:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...ef_=sr_ph&sr=1

    http://www.richersounds.com/product/...l-hfdab102-blk

I've just listened to the Sony one at my parents' house today and it's fine but didn't quite blow me away. I expect the Sharp one may be a little worse as the speakers seem smaller, although it's rated at the same power.

Can you recommend anything similar, but perhaps less obvious to me which may have a bit more of a wow factor soundwise? Or something that could make use of the Sony speakers.

I could go up a bit more than the Sony, perhaps £250-300 for something much better.

    Thanks

    Just saw this:

Perhaps with Sony speakers to start - can be upgraded later.

Have not tried any of the ones you mentioned, but I do own an old Teac (no BT) paired with a set of MORDAUNT SHORT speakers (£50 at Richersounds). I picked the Teac up 2nd hand, its been used every day for over 10 years and is faultless. I did look at a Denon and Yamaha at the time, all of those systems works well with the speakers. Best advice I can give is to visit a shop and try them out, preferably with the speakers. You could add the 5 year gtee at Richersounds, they did have a good home trial policy a while ago, think it was 14 days with full refund, worth checking the current policy.
