Do you have CEC or the equivalent turned on?
FWIW CEC gave me a LOT of issues with my Samsung TV as it would just stop at random.

I've switched on cec on the telly (a Samsung) but when you do a search for devices, it only finds the chromecast. I've got an old harmony remote that I've dug out which seems to be doing the trick...
Have you turned on CEC on the amp?

I think it's on automatically. I've searched all through the Instruction manual, there's no mention, other than in the Trademarks bit at the end...
One other thing I noticed, if I plug the Virgin Media Tivo into say HDMI 2, which is one of the HDCP 2.2 ports, it displays the picture for about 10 seconds, then goes blank and repeats ad-nauseum. I think it might be that the Tivo doesn't play nice with HDCP2.2 and can't complete the handshake, as when I put it in a non-HDCP2.2 port, it works fine. Not really a problem, but my OCD doesn't like the fact that I've got there are gaps in my HDMI port usage. (1, 3 and 4 are in use. Untidy.)
Also, Spotify is only any use if you've got Premium, which I don't, but I've since discovered I can Cast via the Chromecast, so no biggie there.
Normal people have the back of the amp facing away from them so they don't notice any gaps in the HDMI sockets. Just a thought...

Yes, normal people. So do I, but I know there's a gap.
CEC gave me a ton of issues with my Samsung TV and Pioneer Amp too - the only way I've prevented any more "issues" is to disable CEC completely on the Amp (fortunately there is an option to leave ARC functionality on on the Amp). I caved and ended up buying a (heavily reduced) Logitech Harmony Elite from Amazon.de's warehouse!
