I just found my PC via my network on the TV....

...and I know you all know this type of thing and I'm an old man but I just shared a file of top res photo's with my UHD TV and it worked like a charm

in case you DONT know how:

Make sure the PC and the TV are on the same network, especially if they're on WIFI and you have more than one running
Make sure TV is ON for several minutes

Find a folder you want to share and right click on it... look for "Cast to Device" and see if your TV is there.

If so click it and choose to play all the photo's through the tv

on the TV find the media button.. your PC file should show in it.

    worked with a film too.

    Welcome to 2012 I guess.....

You can make any newish TV a castable device if you attach something like a Chromecast to it. Pretty useful for watching YT clips on the big screen.

I remember how I felt when I managed to get ICS working over an Ethernet crossover cable on Windows 98, clearing the internet history became a thing of the past
