Banana connector adapter

    Hello ,

we finished manufacture a project that includes lots of banana's female connector on its front panel , the bananas manufacturer is Pomona its diameter is 2.64mm (pomona's part number : 2142-0) :

Although , the customer wants exactly 2mm banana female connector . the prbolem is that we already manufactured the panel -

So i would like to find an adapter : male connector on one side that compatible with 2.64mm and a socket connector on the other side that has a diameter of 2mm (shall be compatible with a banana connector of 2mm).

    thanks in advance.

I can't help with your adapter, but your image link won't work because it refers to a file on your PC. You need to upload that image to an internet-based hosting service and reference that server in the link.

    Re: Banana connector adapter

Ive had a quick search without success. 2mm seems to be the standard for miniature 'banana' connectors - 2.64 might be a US 'standard'. But an adapter would only have a wall thickness of 0.32 mm which would be quite difficult to manufacture, bearing in mind that it has to make a good spring contact on both mating surfaces, so I fear the only realistic solution will be to either replace the sockets on the panel, or make up adapter patch cords with a 2.0mm free socket on one end a 2.64 mm plug on the other.

It might be worth double checking the customer's plugs to see if the really are 2mm.

    Re: Banana connector adapter

Yes i have the plug here with me

its 2mm and we already placed the 2.64mm banana sockets on the panels and we cant remove it ....the adapter or the cord are the only option i seek.
