Wired heatset recommendation
Hi All,
My bluetooth headphones don't always want to play with my Windows laptop, and at the moment I am spending a lot of time on conference calls.
Can someone recommend me a decent wired headset? It's principle use will be skype/webex etc so the mic is pretty important, but it would be good if music would sound reasonable through them so I can listen to some tunes when I'm not on the phone.
Ta....

Any specific model you'd recommend?

I tend to just go for decent stereo headphones and use a desktop mic. If you've got headphones on, you don't have to worry about feedback.

The only problem with that is that I'm in an office, so it needs to be portable, and not pick up loads of background noise.

The PC Chat is noise cancelling.
Re: Wired heatset recommendation
Avoid the PC350 unless you have a good headphone amp due to the 150ohm rating, I think the PC360 Sennheisers are 50ohm so more suitable for the laptop market.

+1 for Sennheiser (although I have the Momentum Bluetooth ones, which I use with EVERYTHING). I love them.

+however many you want for Sennheiser. Excellent kit (I'm a bit of a fanboy ;) ).
I think my last headset was the USB PC 8. My stepson managed to kill it. Still haven't forgiven him. Desperately need to order a new one at some point...!

Fangirl here too - refuse to use anything else really. I am so impressed with the new ones.

I've got some Sennheiser GSP 350s sat here on my desk,... USB powered..tried them today for 10 mins and they're nice :)
a tad bass heavy but beautiful. And they go LOUD.. louder than I can suggest. Great pull down mic, top quality.
the USB plug in worked instantly on Win10 (always a moment of concern with Win 10 and it doesnt always like sound cards et al) and I can switch between them and my normal Cougars in two clicks.
very comfy BUT air tight... not at all open backed. If you like being cut off from the outside word, they're spot on.
Light too.

This is why a lot of us mod the sennheisers, you can fit velour cups and makes them very comfy and and sweat free.

If you want something on the cheaper side I picked these up for £15. Had them for 4 months now and they do just fine, had no problems with them, I used scissors to cut of the USB RGB connection :P.
