Hi, i went to the philippines for a whole month in febuary and here are some pics i can share with you from my vacation.

i used a tamron 17-50 F2.8 along with a canon 400d body, caonon 50mm F1.8 lens and a 430ex II flash i brought along with me.

3, 10 (kind of - given the lighting, I'd almost have been tempted to leave the people out of the shot), 14 & 17....

Some lovely shots. Looks like you had a great time....what I wouldn't give to be on that beach right now.

Yes i had another one from last year. Before i went this time round i did a lot of reading in forums and in particular photography on the net which is such an excellent forum to begin with.

I of course made a few threads here too and remember you giving me some great advice as well as others.

i also bought a book called "understanding exposures" which made everything in regards to iso, shutter speeds and aparture so clear to me that the majority of my shots are now bang on in terms of right exposure for a given scene. TBH i diddnt know their was an exposure indicator on my camera

The tamron 17-50mm helped alot but most importantly my studying about it all was key to it all and would liek to thank you and others for pointing me into the rigth direction.

i am no means a pro yet but as you can see, i have improved quite a bit.

I was thinking the same, just follow the flckr link Josh posted and it lets you select various sizes !

Though I know pretty much zero about cameras, those shots look great to me. Thanks for sharing them with us (I'll be grabbing a few for my desktop too, if it's ok with you?)

thanks for the comments mate. Yes u can use some as your desktop if u like hehe. You can see more on the flickr link as well including one image of me in it. try and guess which one. im Darker than most filipino's

Cool thanks. thats what some of my mates say too. Enjoyed my vacation their and the pics i took. cant wait to go their again.

i just read a 1000 different websites/books before i went so it payed off well it seems. Cheers all.
