If you did a critical reading of a book on Youtube, then their fair use stuff should protect it. Just doing an audiobook would not be protected as far as I'm aware unless it wasn't monetised and then you could claim education. That said, it could be undermined by the EU copyright law that is being currently challenged (thankfully as it was nuts) and so I wouldn't put effort into anything that could be subject to that law just now. You could find it gets taken down in short order if MEPs don't get the act adjusted - it was supposed to be a modernisation and amalgamation of current law but typically lobbying has added some very anti consumer stuff in there - namely articles 11 and 13. Hopefully these will be removed by the parliament and we can all carry on as normal. The anticipation is such that some American websites initially cut off access to anyone in Europe as they thought it was going to pass.

Regardless, if your hobby is reading an analysing books, you could easily do a review / analysis on Youtube. If it covers some interesting books currently being referenced by some big Youtubers then it could certainly get some traffic.
