    what speakers?...

Can anyone recommend a good set of speakers to use with my Media Center 2005 system? There are so many on the market and, frankly, most of them look crap.

I want something that sounds good, can produce a good tumping bassline, LOOKS stylish and doesn't bankrupt me. Is there such a thing?

My budget is about £300max. I love the look of things like these...

...but obviously i don't want the bundled DVD player etc cos it's for my PC.

    Any ideas gratefully received.

    Boner

Get some Logitech Z680s or the newer version of them... Not sure of the model. Will probably outperform Sony's all-in-one systems by a fair margin too.
Failing that maybe get a cheap ish receiver like the Pioneer slimline one from www.richersounds.com and a set of 5.1 speakers.

Edit: If you're after style then perhaps Sony is your best bet though... Lol.

As your after bass then I would go for the new Logitech speakers (cheapest off PixMania probably) as with a proper hifi setup normally the first place to save money is on the sub, and you probably don't want todo that
