It may be obvious but they can even recognise between short key presses and long ones when being taught, so for volume you can teach it to continually send the vol up/down code or just once per press (minor but pretty handy).
With the Pronto you can also change all the screen designs with a program they give you, or download other peoples from the net. I guess you can probably do that with quite a few touch screen ones, never been bothered myself but people do.
For touch screen models it takes longer to do things becasue you have to change screens to get to certain buttons (depending on the way you've set it up) and you don't get the tactile feedback of the buttons so you actually have to look at what you're doing.
