Economically viable amplifier repairs?
Hi there
My other hobby has been HiFi for quite some time and I've ended up with a number of amps that have 'seen better days' including 3 valve based amps. They are really just taking up space now, I have a perfect setup (to my ears) and I'm looking for somewhere economical in (ideally) the West London region to tackle the repairs so I can move them on :rolleyes::woowoo:
I do have a local ish hifi shop that does repairs but my local doesn't want to deal any more and I have a feeling this would be an expensive option given some of the amps are in the multiple hundred pound bracket.
Any ideas for how to get this stuff fixed on a tight current budget?
Thanks muchly
Naveen

Youtube, find repair vids, then ebay for parts?

Dunno, but G8ina might be interested????
Or have some idea who might.

Agree with Saracen, think g8ina might be the person to ask for this.

Depends on the make and model... Ive worked on a few valve amps, but if its not my thing then there is Lee in Peterborough, or Sally Ann and Richard Snow in Brighton, or Colin in Kettering.
I can link you up with these, but let me know what the kit is first :)
