    LCD TV Recommendation

    Ok,

after the TV out into scart debate, I've just sold my Sony CRT and I'm going to replace it with an LCD TV for the spare room.

    My requirements

1.)I'm open to any brand - however I would prefer Sony
2.)Size min 28'' unless there is a reson not to
3.)PC connectivit (the best way to plug the PC into it) + SCART input + RF input maybe even have an inbuilt tuner but thats not really important.

The primary use for this is HTPC so PC connectivity is most important but it must have scart and RF for Playstation + SNES etc.

    opinions please must by quick/soon

28'' would be ideal - but I would look at smaller if they have all the features

well I've found these, which I'd appricaite opinions or alternates too

    http://www.epcbuyer.com/products.asp?recnumber=3019

a couple of them don't mention the resolutions of if the have scart / RF sockets too, but I'm stuggling to find one with widescreen/good resolution/RF/SCART/PC connectivity.

ok, I think we are getting close to a winner here

(I can't tell if this one has any scart in - but it certainly has the RF in and the built in tuner as well as the d-sub which is DVI I believe)

(Seems pretty good but the make is unknown to me)

Wow, Im shocked nobody has posted to help you!

I am also looking for a new TV, thinking of going LCD as I have a cabinet and I wont be able to fit a 50" plasma in there, I think probably 36 - 38" widescreen is the biggest I can go.

If anybody has any suggestions on a decent LCD this size that has D-sub and DVI inputs (want to connect a shuttle to it) Id appreciate it.

    G4Z

well, I did a lot of research, went to shome shops for try outs, and even rung the manufacter.

The list for me between 26-30'' came down to 2 choices, both seemed to have the edge above all the others.

The relisys this seems the perfect combo of TV+PC functionality. The only snag is no-one has them and everyone has fantasty dates about getting them.

the choice I actually went for was a sagem (Sagem Axium HD-L27 LCD TV - http://www.avshopper.co.uk/DetailsList.cfm?ID=738 (example link) which seemed pretty much the same as the relisys

this TV I actually saw in the flesh (hence why it is an example link as I didn't buy it from there) and it was pretty excellent. I saw both TV and PC inputs and it had n oproblems at all. Both relisys and sagem do bigger versions of the ones I was looking at. I'd really stick my vote behind them for both dual pc and TV functionlity.

If you just want a TV - I picked up a LCD sony 29'' (strange size) for the bedroom and it is buy far the best LCD tv I've seen, however it has no PC in.

    Hope that helps.

I'll be putting up pictures of the sagem over the weekend.

I must admit I'm really impressed with it. at 27'' its a little small for a "main TV" but works fantasticly as a second TV, so I think I've made a great choice.

if your going to go bigger than 30'' I'd get a plasma, if you want I'll put up some pictures of my plasma next to the LCD and you can see how the scale up / scale down.
