FLAC > MP3...sloooow

Using dbPowerAmp, says its gonna take 2hrs 50mins to re-encode 18 FLAC tracks to 160kbps MP3.

Is this average sorta speeds (0.4x realtime encoding)? or have I missed a setting somewhere?

Doesn't sound right to me! I cross convert from WMA lossless to 192 mp3 for the car and zen and it goes at about 14-16x, post your settings and I'll see whats different!

That ain't right at all, it took me less than 30 minutes to re-encode metallica's download set from FLAC to mp3 not so long ago, will see what settings I used.
