Spotted this in a limp bizkit video a couple of days ago, sam rivers has green led's in his fret markers, is it actually possible to do this to a guitar or does the neck have to be built specifically for it?

i recon a bit of drilling and a separate power supply would do the trick, as long as the neck could be painted to cover the work, n the LED's sit flush. also, any electrical interference would have to be considered.
they have been out for years dude
some make of guitars had red lights in their fret boards instead of the usual pearl fret inlays cant remember what they were called
but they were supposed to help you recognise the frets in the dark lol
if you can lift your fingerboard off your neck without damaging it
you could do it but it could effect the way your guitar plays afterwards tho
Might get a cheap strat from cash converters and try it first methinks
it would be a good project for you to try all these dark winter nights starting to set in itll give you something to do as well lol
keep us posted this could be interesting m8
I'm planning on doing something with LEDs on my Les Paul, but I won't be doing anything as extreme as drilling the neck, etc.. Maybe a chaser circuit or something. Let us know what you do, chap :>
Cheap strat from cash convertors. Look elsewhere. They aint cheap there.
well the cheapest they had in last week was £75
which is about £5 cheaper than a new one, so i may have to looks elsewhere.........
any ideas??
