    Sanyo CE28WN7-B - Red Tube - Repair?

Got a Sanyo CE28WN7-B which has a dying red tube, the picture starts off with "red snow" fades to the normal silver "snow"... the picture then for tv shows etc is slightly stronger on the reds giving a rather pinky picture.

is there a way to replace/repair the tube?

    what do you lot think?

sources say this is a phillips tube?

how much would a repair cost do you think, any places to look or contact re: repair?

i just really wanna know if:

    a) its repairable by a numpty (me)
    b) gonna be cost effective to repair (baring in mind it cost me £0)

tvs are generally not cost effective to repair. phone a repair shop and they should be able to quote over the phone

just rang a local guy who instantly said: its your red tube shorting. appointment booked for saturday morning, for a free estimate, heres hoping its gonna be a cheap/fixable problem.

we picked the TV up for free, it works alright but has a pink tint! its watchable/xboxable, but would like to have a play if theres a chance it could be fixed.
