Have to agree with Moby and Skii on this one. The books are better than the TV series, and the earlier series were indeed better than the later ones.

There have been romurs for years and years of a film but nothing has come of it yet, and if it's gonna be anything like the last 2 series I hope they never do get around to making it.

Red Dwarf is excellent. I guess the earlier series were a bit funnier, but I think all series are worth watching. I’d love to see a film. I don’t know why they don’t make more films based on funny series. The South Park film rules, so what about a Simpsons film, or Black Adder?
"Keyboard missing - press F3 to continue" Message seen on an Apricot PC.
"To start press any key. Where's the any key?" Homer Simpson.

Love the Dwarf. Read the books on numerous occasions which added to the series for me. I though it went a bit downhill after series 4. Series 5 was virtually all set in the bug with the first episode being the Suicide Squid (Back to Reality). Thought series 6 was a real big let down and 7 perked up slightly by bringing Kochanski back. Found 8 to be really good as I thought it went more back to the roots of when it first started.

Apparently the movie is coming out next year. www.reddwarf.co.uk has all the info on it but at the min its still not giving away to much.

Don't forget also that series 3 is finally out on DVD 3/11/03, really looking forward to that.
