    Rome

Anyone else enjoying season 1 of Rome? Most people I ask say they aren’t, but I am. I like the way it's produced as a warts and all depiction of that era, instead of a romanticised tamed down version.

I watched up to Ep.3 when it first became available, but quickly lost interest due to the sub-standard acting in it, which just shows through even more after the millions of $$ spent on the production costs. Guess they ran out of cash when it came to hiring acting talent

On the contrary I think much of the main based characters acting is very good. The first three episodes were quite bad in my opinion and were designed to draw attention to the series; however the crudeness does become more tasteful and the actors settle in. Watch on and maybe you will enjoy it more?

I think its a bit slow, but the production is top notch. One for DVD i think.
