    Spirited Away

I've just watched Spirited Away with english subtitles and its one of the best films I have ever seen. Its the first foreign film I have ever watched with english subtitles and I loved it. You don't even realise your reading them!

Everything about it, i loved! It was so compelling! THe music was brilliant and the voice acting was so...real...i dont know how to put it!
The story was so out of this world and the characters so brilliant! There was humour, compassion, horror. It was brilliant.

    Anybody else love it?

Ive seen as good stuff. Production IG make really really great animated series and movies as well. I spose it depends on your taste of story, however spirited away will appeal to everybody. It just pisses me off how people dont watch animation unless its disney.

Or don't watch animation BECAUSE of Disney

I enjoyed spirited away... the other half did too, the only thing that bothered me was the little girl - she looked like a MONKEY!

It probably wouldnt have worked so well if she didnt look like a monkey!

Ive not seen the English dubbed version, Ive watched the original Japanese with English subtitles. . . not that it matters!

If you like this, check out Princess Mononoke as well - done by the same people, I think I prefer Princess Mononoke out of the 2, but both are awesome!

It's a bit naive to say you wont watch anime or whatever because it's cartoons and you've grown up (the argument I get sometimes when people find out I like cartoons, disney/anime or whatever) - as long as its good, same with music, I dont see the problem.

People having arms and heads lopped off! Top quality, although it did drag on a little.

I know Studio Ghibli are published by Disney in the west, but still its "Disney Endorced" to make it sell.. which sux.

Haven't seen it yet, but a friend who watched the Japanese version (Without subtitles, even though he doesn't know Japanese) said it's definately worth seeing. According to the same friend, Ghibli Studio's first movie was Tonari No Totoro, which I have seen, subbed, and that was fairly good.
