    Horror

I'm in the process of making a horror film for college and i've be looking for some worthy "eerie" and sad music to put in the background.

Can anyone recommend an eerie slow paced music and some melancholy music...

As always, thanks for any help...

Have a mess around with a midi keyboard and cubase, if you can get access to one. You need ZERO musical ability in order to create a sombre organ melody. Whilst I do have musical ability, I had never used a midi keyboard before and I found making music for a uni assignment piddling easy.

Or, of course... have a look at some music on the more epic side of the spectrum. Mono (www.mono-44.com) are a fantastic Japanese instrumental band. They were touring the UK last week, but I had to stay in and do the assignment mentioned above Seen them before though, and they're enough to make your head orgasm. A lot of their music goes from quiet and soft to rather loud and hectic, but search around and you may find some nice 'uns for your project.

Also have a listen to some Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Another band that makes wonderful epic-style music. www.brainwashed.com/godspeed

Actually, no... scrap that lot and listen to The Locust. www.thelocust.com/

how about... Bach's Toccatta & Fugue in D-Minor.... it's 16 minutes long.. and I'm sure there's a bit in there you can use. I could get you an mp3 of it when i get home later..

    Stiltskin - Inside?

    On a serious note though:

Track 3 from The Transformers the movie soundtrack - The Death of Optimus Prime.

Seconded. One of their pieces was used to great effect in 28 Days Later.

Ok, first of all, let me thank you all for your helpful feedback.

Secondly, I've just come back from the final day of filming, I should have it edited by next Monday or Thursday, and i'll try and post here for all to watch.

But before all of this, I have to <SHUDDERS> log and capture what I've filmed, note that I've already used a song from Half-Life 2 and Rainbow Six: Roguespear...

Ugh! I feel sorry for you mate, i hate logging timecodes, it's a nightmare unless you do it while shooting. How many tapes have you got to do?

Just one tape, about 40 mins of footage, although I had already logged 24 mins before...
