Shame the site doesn't display the EXIF info under each shot - it's interesting to see the info, especially the focal length

cheers, once again getting a taste of a dSLR. god-damn-it. i'm this close ][ to getting a 1dmkIIn or 5d, still not sure which as the 5D is droping in price the whole time...

I don't know if places like Jessops stock such high end cameras, but can't you try to give them both an in-store whirl somewhere, perhaps a single (not chain) photography shop? May help you choose between the two...

Thing is, I don't think you can go far wrong with either. If I were you i'd errr toward getting a 5D, simply because it's full frame, so you can use your current crop of lenses as well as anything else you decide to pick up. I'd love a full frame dSLR. Shame they're so pricey.

The 1dmkIIn has a 1.3x crop factor doesn't it? Sounds like a good middle ground between full frame and an APS-C frame (you get a little more reach on your telescopic lenses whilst still maintaining relatively wide shots) but I think by getting one, you're limiting your lens choices a little. I assume you can't use "digital" lenses on it, as they'd only have an imaging circle wide enough for APS-C frames... That's fine, because you can still obviously use full frame lenses, but you kind of cut yourself out of the superwide range. Which i'm a big fan of.

I need to explain that a little better - the widest full frame lenses i've seen are 15mm (I own one ) which is super-mega cool wide on a full frame, but not quite so great on a 1.3x crop. Of course then there are your 8/10/12mm lenses, but the only ones i've seen are APS-C only.
