DVD SWAP PLANS: Get in 'ere you lot

    Right....I'm formulating a PLAN.

A: If anyone here wants toswap DVD's FOR GOOD, this is gonna suit you.

B: Anyone here at Hexus, with a post count of over 100 will be able to do it.

C: NO MONEY EXCHANGES HANDS AT ALL...this is NOT For Sale Forum.

D: The plan is, you have a DVD< you watch it, you dont like it much. Same applies somewhere else in England with a fellow Hexus-ite.

You post "Wanna Swap this DVD with yours"

You dont care if you lose it forever.......this is a risk strategy, cos you must trust your fellow Hexusites. We start by simply dealing with people that we know here....I know I can trust most of you lot. Nuff said. Same rules.

The person who first posts, agrees that he/she want the other persons DVD. These will probably be wierd, unusual titles. Stuff that you would never normally buy. But what you got to lose? A DVD you hate anyway.....no worries.

Everyoneuses RECORDED DELIVERY...that means you go to the Post OFfice in person, and pay extra 50p (or whatever it is, its cheap) and that means someone must sign for it at the toher end. IT AINT INSURED.....its only a crappy old DVD.

And thats it.....1 rule: No PIRATE COPIES, NO PORN....BEHAVE yourselves.

Any one up for it? Then,....I put a sticky at the top, and you lot rate each other.

eg: Knoxxy and me swapped PC memory recently....we both got what we wanted....so we'd both say.....Yeah, no worries, top bloke.

I have at least 3 films to unload. Then if what you get is no good, swap it again.

    THIS IS NOT A LOAN SERVICE.....its a SWAP, 1 for 1

    Dancing Stage Mega Mix!!
Dance mats have come down in price quite a lot recently, probably due to the launch of the new 8 step dance mat, which I have to say looks quite cool!!! (but it looks as though you'd be less likely to get your feet in a twist and therefore no-where near as amusing!!)

Sure! I have training day here i dont really want. Also, what about Anime disks? R1/R0 disks? Age restrictions? DVD condition - scratches or box defects? Cause my training day disk is perfect but the mechanism holding the disk down doesnt really work.

Im sure someone else did this as well, but i cant remember the site. They created a db where people had info on stuff they wanted to swap.

Are you gonna make like a subforum? where people post personal threads - in the first post people say what they have to swap and what they have swapped (for a record)??

    What about PC/PS2/GC Games?
I dont like sig pics so i turn off sigs Which doesnt help when i dont know what ive written here! DOH!

No Mate....itsjust for us in here in Entertainment. We all get on well, we all trust each other.

Region/Condition etc.....well frankly thats up to the people who swap. If I get a disk off someone and it doesnt play, I'll tell the world.

    Its a FREE THING.....

What we could do IS, havea DATABASE OF DISKS......

We have a STICKY where you JUST LIST WHAT YOU HAVE....NO OTHER WORDS......I'll delete it once a week and each of you can put a new list of your up...or I'll just delete it when you ask me too.....when its out of date.

I have a few DVD's that I shall never watch AND I am sure someone will want them. Postage will cost each of us less than £2 ......you just cant lose....and YOU MIGHT end up with a film you wanna keep

...Or you could create an entirely new forum called ' Swap Shop '
where you can swap (and only swap) anything you like with anything you like.

..I wonder where that came from....

Skii......I now know who you really are.

    NOEL EDMUNDS

I thought that.....but its only a thought....I wanna try it in here first. See how it pans out.

Besides.....DVD for DVD is so easy to "value".....

For Sale or Trade is for other stuff.....

i'd theoretically be up for it - but i wanna keep all me dvds at the moment... i could probably think of a few to get rid of if the need arose thou..

btw, play are doing dance mat + game for £30, but you can also order (say) 2 dance mats and a game for £45, which is good value

I think having a "Hexus DVD Database" where everyone lists their DVDs, and, I dunno, highlights in Red the ones they're willing to swap or something, is a good idea

I haven't got any to swap yet either, I generally buy ones I want. But it's a good idea

I agree its a good idea, you should be able to do it with games etc aswell. I mean instead of dvd swap how about "Swap Shop" or something similar where you can swap pc games, ps2 games, music cd's and dvd's etc?

Basically rather than selling thes, swap them for something better meaning you don't have to go elsewhere and buy stuff just a straight swap if you think its worth it.

zak, some times, you come across a bit of a er, fruitcake? (no pot calling kettle black please), but this is a great idea, im up for it, can finally get rid of a few dvd's. Also zak, you should add the rule that you must state the Region of the dvd, as i have a couple of r1 and r3's
