If you go down to the bay today...

You're sure of some good photographic opportunities!
Spent a while down in Cardiff bay today, shooting this & that. Was good fun. Bloody freezing though

Here's the very dodgily processed pics. Am using a naff monitor, so apologies if colours are way off base :s

Looking up at the assembly, IR :

Looking over the assembly, IR :

Over the bay, blurry boats IR :

the Norweigan Church, IR. Can't be arsed to fix the dodgy glare :

Looking out over the bay from the church, IR :

The sun doing nice things :

It started raining after this, so I went and hid in one of the bars, and filled my belly with nice food & beer

Not much light when I came out...

Looking over the bay, IR... f2.8 30 second exp. ! :

    Same as above! :

Then I went and hid in a coffee shop... And met up with Noah! We wandered around and took a few snaps of this n' that - but i'm too tired to process those now, so I'll do that tomorrow

Meeting Noah was cool though. Very nice guy
We should go out on a Hexus photo trip... I'm looking at you, Shiato ¬_¬

there are shots everywhere - wherever you live there will be opportunities for good photos - just use what you've got

very good photos btw - the one just before, and the one after you said it was raining are the best for me

yep, soon as I get my A in gearquite busy at weekends though at the mo'...but certainly when I've got some time we can figure something out...that goes for all other 'Western' Hexus peeps...imagine, a horde of photographic computer nerds descending on a part of the country! (ok so perhaps not computer nerds. photography nuts then?)

p.s. like the long exposures. what time of day was that for 30's ?!!

Random shot of Noah - was just playing with his 10-20 really

Noise? What noise? ISO 1600, +2EV in Nikon Capture, and then lifted even further in PS

Good set! Infact excellent and composed nicely

Just looking at the exifs as you do! heheh

F2.8 @ 50mm......... what lens do you have? I'm looking into getting the f2.8-4 24-85mm Nikkor to replace my 18-70mm kit lens.

the 2.8 @ 50mm is my Sigma prime (the macro one)
Really great lens, although a lot of people don't like primes...

Here's a couple of my night shots. Really finding these awkward to process as I'm not at home, so will give them another crack and do the rest when I do get home. Still won't be as nice as Noah's though

Looking over toward the flats :

    St. Davids - ISO 1600 - doh!

    Hoodi,

I really don't know why you bother, you've clearly got no kind of an eye for a pic!

    Nah, only jokin!

    Love the first lot.
