    FAO Life On Mars/Doctor Who Fans

    Just been looking for info on the Actor John Simm who plays Sam Tyler in Life On Mars and discovered that John Simm is to play Samuel Tyler ( Rose's Dad ) in the 2nd season of Doctor Who, in an episode called Doomsday!

    That's not the same guy who played him last time round is it? Looks younger. Perhaps they go back in time to see him at a younger age?

    I was thinking about this and she met her Father in an episode called Fathers Day where they went back in time to try and prevent his death, and no it wasn't John Simm that played him, he wasn't even called Samuel, he's was called Peter Alan Tyler in that episode, so i dunno how they are going to work that one, i'm bloody well looking forward to it though

    I wouldn't have thought a plot hole that big through...

    Should be interesting how they make it work.

    When's the new Dr Who starting BTW? This Saturday?

    Yup and Life On Mars isn't due to be aired until 2007

    I E-mailed the BBC before and enquired about the Sam Tyler/Samuel Tyler connection, this is their reply
