    Nikon capture

Just a quick note about this bit of software. Its great. If you have a friend in the USA get them to get it for you, its $78 from amazon (yep thats dollars). In theory they could email the code to activate the demo. Will post some more when Ive had a bit more of a fiddle.

Aye, having used several RAW workflow proggies, Nikon Capture is undoubtedly the best for quality.
If it's a batch job where the results aren't that important, I'll use something else... But even when I want the best and it's a batch (so I use Nikon Capture) it isn't that cumbersome.

tbh i dont see why you should have to pay extra for a piece of software that should come as standard with the camera, so tho it's wrong just get it from bt , i for 1 aint going to pay £100 for it when i get my d50

You get the same processing for free with Nikon Editor ~ Although you don't have as much control over the output.
