I'm lusting after the 105 F/2 ~ although I'm not fussed over lenses being as long as most

where did you find a smiley that looks like you

105 f2, hasn't that got the defocus control, mmmnnnn.

if i can find the 180 f2.8 for £250 i'll be having one i think. need to start buying stuff for travelling now. but i shall start a thread about that for you all to help me spend my MASSIVE loan

I thought the 180 F/2.8 was a lot more than that. That's only a touch more than my 85mm F/1.8!

Aye, the 105 F/2 does have the defocus control - don't think any others do

As for the smilie, I had it custom made. Because I'm cool.

Any chance of me fitting in a suitcase or something?

    edit : there's a 135mm DC too!
That'd be too long on a crop body, though.

suitcase, hmmmn... backpack's 60litres, you mind losing a leg?

the 180 2.8's go secondhand for about £300 in good nick not perfect. i have seen them go for £250 once or twice.

the 135 f2 has DC too iirc. but is equally pricey!
