    Zoo!

My sister took me to the zoo on Friday, woo!
We went to "Noah's Ark" - a kind of zoo // farm type place. lots to see and stuff, although they wouldn't let me on the adventure playground and the like

Really recommended, though. Take your kids and have a groovy time. Or take your 18 yo brother

Onto some photos! Nothing amazing, it's always tough shooting in such artificial environments - but I think there are some fun shots, hope you do too

    Coooooool monkeys

Sleepy goaty types. Check out those ears!

Crazy Owl. Didn't like me. At all.

Harris Hawk, IIRC - tethered to his perch so he could get used to his new environs. Looked a bit bored, luv him.

    More Goat-y types

Emu - who tried to EAT MY CAMERA. Hopefully got some fun shots from it, though (shooting film)

Very very very very cool Giraffe. Quite young, but still massive. Very hard to photograph, as the backgrounds were all kinda messy.

    Rhino! Rhino!

Albino Wallaby - had little 'uns in her pouch, apparently :>

    Not-so albino Wallaby

Donkey... The coolest donkey I've ever met. Very friendly - we were chatting for at least 15 minutes.

Naff photo of the funny Meerkats - best of a bad bunch, though

And lastly some good old fashioned pigeons

refreshing break from the landscapes getting the hoodi touch...some nice results there, love the hawk, rhino and donkey shots in particular. anyway you can process the shot of the meerkat on the sign to show what it says? looks like a brilliant humour shot if it you could make it come out

    No, it's totally, utterly blown.

It said : WARNING : MEERKATS CAN BITE! though...

It wasn't actually attached to that log - the cheeky beggars had obviously ripped it down and transported it

Their whole pen was covered in silly bits of string - which was apparently to discourage birdies from landing there. Bird flu :/

    Cheers chaps.

That donkey picture is superb - reminds me of Donkey from Shrek

Saying that they are all great images in their own right.

That donkey was so much cooler than the Shrek donkey.
    Such a nice guy.
I wanna go back and see him again, now

Coincidentally a lot of these shots were taken on a Nikkor 70-210mm F/4-5.6 lens. I don't use it much, but it continues to impress me when I do - even moreso considering it cost 60 notes!
