Shiato you lazy bum :)
Seconded - I might actually start entering this time too...
there does seem to be enough people posting on this board these days to get a decent number of entries.
Count me in if a challenge is set :)
righto, i hear ya. I stopped doing them after xmas as there was a serious lack of attendance...but since the numbers of nutters on here has grown :D then I agree now might be a prime time to get another going.
I have a couple of ideas that could be put to use...
Cheers Shiato, I have also noticed a large amount of new people use this forum so another comp would be great :)Quote:

I hope to be able to join in with these soon, just saving for my own 350D as i cant keeping pinching the other halfs dads one! :D
maybe allow 2 weeks, or people to submit old photos. i dont often have time to wonder round for photos every week
Ditto I might join in this time ;0
the point of it being a challenge is for people to have a stab at capturing something in the time slot, rather than dig something up taken years ago...i've got mountains of stuff I could wade through - that would be a challenge in itself! - no, the emphasis is on what can be done in the given time; hence challenge

As far as I can remember it varied, sometimes one, sometimes two, sometimes in between.
I think perhaps from a Friday night to the Sunday a week and a bit later later - gives people two weekends in case one is not possible; during the week is obviously not when loads of photos will be taken.
Anyone else got any ideas? I would like to get this started again :)
Decay.
Moving liquid (river/waterfall/arty stop motion pics of pouring wine/whatever).
Blot on the landscape.
Nightclub (possibly a bad idea, may restrict those with less capable kit (including me until I get a 50mm 1.8 :D)).
British Rail (train spotter heaven but could be a station or anything directly related to the railways).
Papparazo for a day: photograph the most famous person you can find (would possibly need a long time limit on this one).
Hope you like some of these :)
I think there should be a week or two in between but I can't remember if we were told to email, or post the photos here last time? I think perhaps we should be allowed to post them for people to see / decide on voting, and once the time is up, add a poll? :p
shiato had set up a gmail addy where you had to send the link to your pics. Then he made a poll.
count me in - my new toy finally arrived last week :)
Yeah it should run like it did last time with us having to submit pictures and then them being posted on here for a poll.Quote:

Is it too late for a suggestion on theme?
If not, mine was ..... *drum roll* ..... Perspective .....
After seeing the BBC photo competition, and some of the quality pics it produced, I'm more in favour of very abstract themes over too specific ones...And I know perspective is just going to get all you DSLR nuts digging out the fish-eyes....
Did you watch me writing my last post of something ibm?
:inquisiti
I couldn't think of a creepier way to reply, so I'll stick with ...
...
...
yes
Got back after a 3 week holiday, off on a work thing this w/e until thursday - anyone wishing to start a new challenge up is most welcome as I haven't got time just at the moment...
as for abstract themes how about "loss of focus" (and not just your pap, arsed up shots but clever use of blurring...) ?
Thanks for that shiato. I will start a new thread tonight, will nick all the rules from your last post and we can do it on "Loss of focus"
Cheers :)
