    Which DAB radio

Whenever I look at the things they never seem to be as good as they should be.

The evoke 3 is about as close as I can find at the moment.

This can record to SD like I want and you are able to set it to record programmes
via EPG. BUT can you set it to record by date and time also rather than just EPG?

Are there any dual tuner ones which will let you listen to one station while recording
another or record two different ones yet?

The evoke 3 is really steep in price at £200
I see the BUG can do the SD thing and EPG but looks terrible, how does it sound though?

I'm considering buying a DAB radio as well, although my budget's more like £40. I don't like Listening to the Bruce Dickinson Rock Show through Sky...

    Any under £40 worth considering?

Believe it or not, FM radio is actually better quality than DAB at the moment. IIRC this is due to DAB transmitions being lower quality so this will change sometime.

I can't remember the technicalities so do some research if its sound quality you're after.

EDIT: just realised this thread is a few months old although its still on the first page!

that might be the case, but chances are the dac etc on your digibox are utter w**k.

dab varies - classicfm (for instancE) has (iirc) a 128kbit stream, which is better than *most* fm recievers will get - you get different artifacting - but with dab you get no hiss/crackle.. if you live in an area of very good reception, you'll get better quality off a analog radio, if you can get the channel you want. if you live with shonkey reception, but can still get dab, chances are the artifacts will be less audible

Creative SoundWorks 500 DAB Radio £40 at Amazon

Works really well. Gets reception all round flat which was impossible with FM before. Also has Alarm functions, so use it as Alarm Clock.
