    Samsung to unveil first 70in LCD HDTV tomorrow

    Samsung will tomorrow unveil the world's first 70in LCD HD TV set - a model said to be some five inches bigger than the current LCD king - but this won't be available the first half of next year.

    That looks awesome, I wonder how much 120hz helps with fast scenes.

    Hm, not looking foward to reciving stock of this at work :\

    Its great how things are moving on and what they can do with technology, but really....just who would NEED a 70" TV?

    Saying that makes it out like people who bought the i think Panasonic or whatever previous 'biggest lcd ever' that was 5 inches smaller actually 'needed' it No-one needs a tv that size, its just nice to have one to show off to all your mates

    I worked out that Panasonics 65" plasma would fit on my wall above the fire place, between the two alcoves. Going by the width of the surround on this compaired to the Panasonic, i should be able to get this up there instead. And being LCD it will be lighter and easier to mount.

    not that i'm going to get one, but you know, it's nice to know that i *could* fit it there *if* i was to come into some money
