Nice site there.
I really like the bird pics, and the goats look cool too. Pics from the French Alps look very impressive.
Shame I can never find anything really picturesque to shoot

Great photos, especially like the first one, though the blurred branch at the left isn't the best. Last is also pretty, is that ice on the water?

No ice sadly, adbout the only time of the year in that part of the world without it, I just used an ultra long exposure and a lot of attempts. I didn't have a tripod with me so I had to brace myself against a bridge.

Hey ravennight, sorry to be critical, but you asked for it -
In 1, it's a shame the branch is blurred, like awm said
2 just looks really flat to me, but that's probably the lighting not your fault
3, it's a shame the bird's eye isn't too sharp, but it is difficult when the subject's plumage is so distractingly beautiful
4, love it!

Thanks Million, just what I'm looking for. No.1 was the best of about 30 attempts, moral of the story, carry some form of tripod/monopod/beanbag for long shots.

i like ur long exposure water and the mountains (though could do with a little more contrast)

the hawk looks a little blured - could be shutter speed

the last of the river with frost on the trees does nothing to interest me..

Sadly the reason the quality isn't great on 3 and 4 is partly down to the fact they're from my F50 and I had to scan them in on my grotty scanner. Really need a better quality one.

ahh so scanned from photographic paper?

best to shoot slide if you plan on scanning..

if there is anything more common than poo, its that first pic lol, just about everyone i know has it in the house lol good though none the less
